Bhavanipuram is a neighbourhood of Vijayawada in the NTR district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is the mandal headquarters of Vijayawada West mandal in Vijayawada revenue division.[1]
Overview
Bhavanipuram, located on the banks of the Krishna River, was a residential area three decades ago. With development of infrastructure over the years, it has started attracting commercial activity. It has an estimated population of 30,000. With the construction of the Durga flyover, traffic movement in Bhavaipuram has eased considerably. Berm Park attracts tourists. [2]
History
NTR district was carved out of Krishna district in 2022. [3]
Education
- Narayana Junior College, established in 1997, is an English medium coeducational institution having facilities for teaching in classes XI and XII. [4][5]
- Sri Chaitanya Junior College is a coeducational institution having facilities for teaching from class IX to class XI[6]I.
- St. John’s School, established in 2015, is an English medium coeducational institution having facilities for teaching from class I to class X. [7][8]
