Palus is a tehsil in Sangli, Maharashtra. According to the 2011 Census, the sub-district code of Palus is 04297. The tehsil's total area is 297 km² and it has a population of 164,909 people. There are 34,401 households and 35 villages in Palus.[3]
Industrial Zone[edit]
The industrial zone of Palus produces manufacturing and foundry components. It is also home to the Krishna Valley Wine Park and a marketplace with hardware and construction shops.
Kirloskar Brothers is located about 2 kilometers from Palus. Some well-known corporations are located in Kirloskarwadi, including Kirloskar Ebara Pumps and other steelwork firms.
Tehsil[edit]
Located on the banks of the Krishna River, Palus is known for producing grapes and sugarcane. The Laxmanrao Kirloskar Vidyamandir Junior College and Bharti Vidyapeeth's school are located nearby. Tourist attractions in the Palus area include the Sagareshwar Wildlife Sanctuary, Sahara Sevabhavi Sanstha, Chitale Dairy, Kirloskar Brothers Ltd, and Krishna-Verala Sangam.
Hindustani classical vocalist Vishnu Digambar Paluskar (1872-1931) was born here.

- Kolhapur Airport is situated around 60 kilometers from Palus, with direct flights to Tirupati, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Ahmedabad.[5]
- Kirloskarwadi Station is the nearest railway station to Palus. This is located in The Central Railway Zone of Indian Railways.
- It takes around 1.07 hours to travel from Palus to Sangli by bus.[6]
