Virendra Razdan
Virendra Razdan (1950 - 13 June 2003) was an Indian film and television actor. He is most famous for his role in Mahabharat (1988) as statesman Vidhura directed by Ravi Chopra and BR Chopra. He also played the role of Maulana Azad in the film Gandhi (1982) directed and produced by Richard Attenborough. He was noted for his dialogue delivery and underplaying a character in the true sense of the word. In a career spanning over 20 years he has acted in 8 films and 7 serials.

Career
After graduating from National School of Drama, he first starred as Maulana Azad, a leading figure of the Indian independence movement, in the 1982 biographical film Gandhi produced and directed by Richard Attenborough and for his role of statesman Vidura in the Indian television series Mahabharat (1988) directed and produced by Ravi Chopra and BR Chopra.[1] He also played a supporting role in the Aditya Pancholi starrer Zanjeer: The Chain (1998).
Early Life & Education
Virendra Razdan's father was a Sufi musician. He was a Kashmiri Pandit. He studied method acting at the National School of Drama in New Delhi, where he was a student of Ibrahim Alkazi.
Death
Razdan died in Mumbai on 13 June 2003, due to stomach cancer at the age of 53 .[2][3][4]
