Chittoor district was initially formed in 1911.  At the time of Indian independence in 1947, Chittoor district was a part of the erstwhile Madras state. In the fifties Chittor district was a part of the newly formed Andhra Pradesh state and went through several changes. In 1985, the taluks of the district were reorganised. Baireddipalle (Baireddy Palle) is a village in the Palamaner Revenue Division in the Chittoor district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is the mandal headquarters of Baireddipalle mandal.[1]

History

Chittoor district was initially formed in 1911. At the time of Indian independence in 1947, Chittoor district was a part of the erstwhile Madras state. In the fifties Chittor district was a part of the newly formed Andhra Pradesh state and went through several changes. In 1985, the taluks of the district were reorganised. With the formation of Tirupati District from a part of old Chittoor district and a part from old Nellore district on 4 April 2022, Chittoor district consisted of 31 mandals across 4 revenue divisions.[2][3]

Geography

Baireddipalle has an average elevation of 764 metres (2,507 ft).[4] It is bordered between Karnataka State and Tamil Nadu State borders.

Baireddipalle is about 55 kilometres West of Chittoor Town.

Baireddipalle Mandal is bounded on the South/West by VKota (Venkatagirikota) Mandal, North/East by Palamaner/Gangavaram/Peddapanjani Mandals, South by Tamil Nadu State Border and West by Karnataka State Border.

Baireddipalle Mandal is in Madanapalle Revenue division since the Revenue Mandal Reorganization in 1985.

Chittoor District is in the southernmost part of State so also Rayalaseema Region. Chittoor District is bounded on the North by Ananthapur and Kadapa districts, East [part] by Nellore district, East [part] & South Tamil Nadu State and West by Kolar district of Karnataka State.

Residents speak Telugu, Urdu, Tamil and Kannada.
