The key political players in Goa state in Western India are the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party, Indian National Congress, Aam Aadmi Party , Goa Forward Party, Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party and Nationalist Congress Party. As of 2021, the All India Trinamool Congress ( AITC ) has entered the state eyeing the early 2022 state assembly elections.
