Early Life and Biography

Sandesh Lamsal ( सन्देश लम्साल ) was born on 17 August 1994, in a Brahmin family in Dang district of Nepal as the first child of Ganesh Lamsal and Sushila Lamsal.[6] Sandesh went to Russia in 2015 to study after receiving a scholarship on MBBS from the Russian government.[7] He did not only studied and played sports there but worked as a social worker.[8] In 2016 The office of the Honorary Consul of Nepal was opened in St. Petersburg, Russia under Alexander Trentev's leadership.[9][10] Sandesh Lamsal was appointed as the Representative of Nepal in St. Petersburg and Leningrad region where he created a group of students and actively organised many programs for the promotion of Nepali Culture, and tourism in Russia.[11][12] Besides social works, Sandesh creates video in social media platforms advocating social awareness, fitness and mental health.[13][14][15] Sandesh Lamsal is the First Nepalese celebrity to be verified in all social media platforms including TikTok, Likee, Moj, Josh, YouTube, Telegram, Google’s Tangi and Chingari app.[16][17] Besides social media, he is the holder of Two Dan Black belt in World Taekwondo and also has participated in many competitions in Nepal and Russia.[18] [19] Sandesh has significantly contributed to the promotion of Nepal's tourism under the office of Nepal's honorary consul in Russia. [20] Sandesh is the one and only Nepalese who has contributed on United Nations as an Online Volunteer and also on FIFA Confederation Cup 2017 and FIFA World Cup 2018 as a Medical Volunteer.[21] He was also the organizer and lecturer of the "Nepal Fest" event held in St. Petersburg, Russia to help the victims of the 2015 earthquake.[22] The contributions of Sandesh Lamsal in the field of the promotion of Nepal, Nepali culture, tradition and tourism has been praised by the former speaker of the Parliament of Nepal – Onsari Gharti Magar, Former Finance Minister of Nepal – Ram Saran Mahat, The Ambassador of Nepal to Russia – Rishi Ram Ghimire and as a whole, Nepal and the Russian Government.[23]
