Zawlnuam is a census town in Mamit district in the Indian state of Mizoram.

Demographics[edit]

As of 2001 India census,[1] Zawlnuam had a population of 3119. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Zawlnuam has an average literacy rate of 78%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 80%, and female literacy is 76%. In Zawlnuam, 15% of the population is under 6 years of age.

Transport[edit]

The Distance between Zawlnuam and Aizawl is 176 km and is connected with regular service of Maxicabs.[2]

Education[edit]

There is Zawlnuam College, under Mizoram University and a number of public and private schools.[3]
