Uppi Rupee is an unreleased Indian Kannada language political thriller film written and directed by K. Madesh.[1] Vijayalakshmi Urs produced the film and also wrote the story.[2] It features Upendra and Rachita Ram in the lead roles along with Jagapati Babu, P. Ravishankar, Rangayana Raghu, and Sharath Lohitashwa in supporting roles.[3] The score and soundtrack of the film was composed by Sadhu Kokila and the cinematography was handled by Rajesh Katta. The film is based on the demonetization, black money and corruption prevailing in the society.[4]

The film was launched on 13 March 2017 in Bangalore and the filming took place in West Indies, Canada, Bangkok and Thailand.[5]
