Teefa in Trouble (2018) marks Pakistani actor-singer Ali Zafar's debut as a producer under his banner Lightingale Productions, as well as the directorial debut of Ahsan Rahim (known for music videos and commercials through Tadpole Films). This romantic action-comedy features Zafar alongside debutants Maya Ali and Abdullah Solangi.

Production Journey[edit]

The project began in 2016 with Zafar, Rahim, and Danyal Zafar co-writing the script. Shot across Lahore and Warsaw from February to July 2017, it boasts music by Ali Zafar and a score by Shani Arshad. Released on 20 July 2018, the film was distributed nationally by Mandviwalla Entertainment and Geo Films, with Yash Raj Films handling its international release—a first for a non-Indian production.

Legacy[edit]

Despite being one of Pakistan's costliest films at the time and facing piracy and protests, *Teefa in Trouble* became the third Pakistani film to cross Rs. 50 crore at the box office, cementing its commercial success.
