Surwani is a village in Akrani in Nandurbar district of Maharashtra State, India. It is located 104 kilometres (65 mi) from sub district headquarter and 115 kilometres (71 mi) from district headquarter. The village is administrated by Sarpanch an elected representative of the village as per Panchayati raj (India). [1]


Demography[edit | edit source]

As of 2009, The village has a total number of 352 houses and a population of 2424 of which 1308 are males while 1116 are females. According to the report published by Census India in 2011, out of the total population of the village 43 people are from Schedule Caste and 2307 are from Schedule Tribes Caste.[1]
