Surpan is a village in Sakri tehsil in Dhule district of Maharashtra State, India. It is located 13 kilometres (8.1 mi) from sub district headquarter and 58 kilometres (36 mi) from district headquarter. The village is administrated by Sarpanch an elected representative of the village as per Panchayati raj (India).[1]


Demography[edit]

As of 2009, The village has a total number of 253 houses and a population of 1231 of which 641 are males while 590 are females. According to the report published by Census India in 2011, out of the total population of the village 9 people are from Schedule Caste and 420 are from Schedule Tribes Caste.[1]
