Sunil Gehani (born 12 March 1974) is an Indian-born entrepreneur and businessperson based in the Caribbean.

Early life[edit | edit source]
Gehani was born in Mumbai, India, on 12 March 1974. According to his personal biography, he attended Guru Nanak School in Sion and National College in Bandra. He moved to Saint Martin in 1998 and began working in the tobacco-vending business.[1]
Business career[edit | edit source]
In 2022, Gehani launched The Big Cane Spirits, a rum brand produced in Saint Kitts. He has also been associated with Buddha Bar, Beauty Inside and Out, and Global Link – Second Citizenship Consultants.[2]
Community activities[edit | edit source]
Gehani served as president of the Indian Merchants Association in Saint Kitts. In the aftermath of Hurricane Irma in 2017, he was involved in efforts by the Indian community in Saint Kitts to assist Indians stranded in Sint Maarten.[3]
Public and diplomatic activities[edit | edit source]
In 2026, Gehani was described in Indian media reports as a Special Envoy of Saint Kitts and Nevis. He attended the inauguration of the country's High Commission in New Delhi on 7 April 2026 alongside officials from India and Saint Kitts and Nevis.[4]
His personal website describes his position as Special Envoy for Economic Affairs, Foreign Investment, Trade and Industry for the Government of Saint Kitts and Nevis.[5]

In November 2024, SKN Times included Gehani, under the name "Sunny Gehani", among 45 men it featured in connection with International Men's Day. The publication described him as an entrepreneur, brand owner and distiller associated with The Big Cane Rum, Buddha Bar, Beauty Inside and Out, and Global Link.[6]
Legal matters[edit | edit source]
Gehani was named in proceedings connected with the so-called Lisbon case in Sint Maarten. In 2026, reporting on the court proceedings stated that bribery allegations against Gehani were dismissed for lack of proof.[7]
