[1]Srimathi Sundaravalli Memorial School (or SSM[2]) is located in Nagappa Nagar,[3] Chrompet, Chennai, India.A second school was started in perungaluthur in 2012 which now hosts class PreKG to 12. It is located 13 km from the main school. The school follows CBSE standard of education. The school is named after Smt. Sundaravalli, mother of the founder Mr. K. Santhanam.
The school was inaugurated on 11 June 1986 by the educationist the late Kulapathi Dr. Balakrishna Joshi in the presence of Sri Varadha Ethiraja Jeer Swami of Sriperumbudur. It is a co-educational school, with classes from preschool to 12, and is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.
This school is connected with Sarada Secondary School.
The school is famous for its logistically sound student transportation system, using almost 100 buses, owned by the school.
The school has trained many students who today work in the Indian Military, hospitals, and the school itself. Its results in class 10, 12 public exams.
The faculty is well trained and said to have many teachers who hold masters degree which is rare in other Indian Schools
The school trains the students in fine arts: keyboard, vocal, mridangam, veena, photography, karate, bharatanatyam, violin and arts and crafts. There are two periods per week for classes 6 and above. Three periods for classes 3 to 5 of the same per week.

The school boasts of a library which is available from 6th grade. The teachers ensure that students only get the book that is suited for them. (For example: Percy Jackson books are available only from 10th grade.)
The school has 2 swimming pools which are used by 4th grade and above. It also has showers and separate changing rooms for the students. They conduct swimming classes once in a week, one week for girls, and one week for boys.
The school also has an AC conditioned auditorium, with speakers. It is vast, and can hold up to 1000 students

- 6th grade: Bangalore- 1 day and 2 nights
- 7th grade: Mysore- 2 days and 3 nights
- 8th grade: Ooty-2 days and nights
- 9th grade: Kodaikanal and Madurai-3 days and 4 nights
- 10th grade: Hyderabad- 3 days and 4 nights
- 12th grade: Singapore- 3 days and 4 nights
The school has a vast dining hall which can accomodate more than thousands of students.
The school also holds field trips to nearby places, which include Vandalur Zoo, from 1st grade to 5th grade
