Sri Gowri Parameswara Temple

Sri Gowri Parameswara Temple,is a popular temple located in Sathakampattu of Gavarapalem in Anakapalle, Andhra Pradesh, India.[1] this temple was constructed by Gavaras in 1900.[2] Gouri is their caste deity.the utsavam was held in karthika or pushya masam,this festival was celebrated last week of January on satursday.the utsavam committee former chairman is Konathala manohara rao naidu,festival committee members are Konathala santhosh apparao naidu,konathala srinivas,konathala nooka mahalakshmi naidu,konathala murali krishna,.

  • Temple representatives are Karri Rudra Naidu, Maddala Om Shiva, Korubilli Satyanarayana, Maddala Chiranjeevi
  • In the temple at Satakampattu, at four o'clock in the morning, the priests perform special pujas for the goddess and give darshan to the devotees.
  • At 12 noon, Gauri Parameshwara is placed on a specially arranged chariot and taken in a procession through the streets.
  • After the procession in the streets till Sunday night, the Anupu mahotsava will be held with devotion. Cultural programs arranged as part of the festival, Nelavesha, strange costumes, Pulivesha by Vijayanagara artists, puppet show, Garidi Kolatam by Mandapeta artists,Navadurgala dance performance by Tadepalligudem artists, Garaga dance by Amalapuram artists, Thinmar by Eleswaram artists, Govinda Govinda performance by Rajahmundry artists, Visakhapatnam Kolatas, Long Legged Man Veshalu festival enthralled those who came to witness the festival.[3]
