Sreemoyee is an Indian Bengali serial airing on Star Jalsha[1] and is also available on the digital platform Disney+Hotstar. It is produced by Magic Moments Motion Pictures Pvt. Ltd of Saibal Banerjee and Leena Gangopadhyay,[2] which premiered on 10 June 2019. The show stars Indrani Halder[3][4] as the titular protagonist Sreemoyee and Ushasie Chakraborty as the primary antagonist June Aunty. The show featured actors like Sudip Mukherjee, Bharat Kaul, Tota Roy Chowdhury, Saptarshi Maulik, Roosha Chatterjee, Chitra Sen, Aishi Bhattacharya, Arnab Banerjee and others in prominent supporting roles.

Plot[edit]

Sreemoyee is a middle-aged housewife. However, on knowing that her husband Anindya cheated her, having an affair with his colleague June, initially she is heart-broken but soon she realises and sets out to create a new identity for herself while June starts creating troubles for her. She divorces with Anindya while he marries June. She is also supported by her college love, Rohit Sen. The story follows how she tackles the problems caused by June and becomes a successful businesswoman in ethnic fabric and handicrafts.

He humiliated Sreemoyee and considered her only for domestic work when they were married. He had an extra-marital affair with his office colleague, June and after marrying her, he regrets his deeds of taking Sreemoyee for granted and thinks Sreemoyee is his true well wisher.   • Ushasie Chakraborty as June Guha / Sengupta - Shombit's ex-wife; Anindya's estranged second wife; Bukan's estranged mother; Dinka-Dithi-Jumbo's estranged step-mother; Sreemoyee's arch enemy. She is jealous of Sreemoyee and humiliates her. She started an affair with Anindya after realising that there is a gap between him and Sreemoyee. He is a singer turned a well known music director. He is protective of Sreemoyee. He divorced Kia after she received monetary compensation from Arna. (2019 - present)
  • Tota Roy Chowdhury as Rohit Sen -An NRI businessman; Sreemoyee's second husband, Sarbojit's maternal uncle, the entire Sengupta family's well-wisher, Arpita's elder paternal cousin brother.
Sreemoyee's senior in college who loves her and even accepted her children as his own. He defends Sreemoyee from each and every obstacle. He finally married his true love Sreemoyee. (2020 - present)

She is a doctor. She humiliated her mother for being less educated and a simple housewife but understood her mistake after she experienced June's behaviour which led to her depression and, stands by her mother when it does not go against her interest.
