Sorchapada

Sorchapada is a village in Akkalkuwa in Nandurbar district of Maharashtra State, India. It is located 34 kilometres (21 mi) from sub district headquarter and 84 kilometres (52 mi) from district headquarter. The village is administrated by Sarpanch an elected representative of the village as per Panchayati raj (India). [1]

As of 2009, The village has a total number of 276 houses and a population of 1489 of which 715 are males while 774 are females. According to the report published by Census India in 2011, out of the total population of the village 10 people are from Schedule Caste and 1469 are from Schedule Tribes Caste.[1]
