Solanki is a clan of the Rajputs[1] in North West India but which has also been borrowed by other communities such as the Saharias as a means of advancement by the process of sanskritisation.[2][3] Other groups that use the name include the Bhils of Rajasthan.[4][5] It is also found among Jats and Rajput Mali .[citation needed]
