Sofia Chaudry is a Dutch-Pakistani singer and songwriter based in Amsterdam,[1] the Netherlands.[2] Her music is influenced by a mix of Western and Desi. She becomes known in 2018 after her first single Thinking About You directed by Alan Sampson was released on 22 April 2018. Her second single, Keep My Head Up directed by Alan Sampson was released on 30 August 2018 and later several others.

Early life[edit]

Sofia was born on 27 October 1991 in Karachi, Pakistan to father Iqbal Chaudry and mother Selina Chaudry in a Punjabi Christian household. Her father was an immigrant[3] in The Netherlands and lived in Amsterdam since 1973. She is raised here.  She began singing at the age of 5 and became obsessed with music.[4] Unfortunately her mother did not allow her to follow a musical education. So she started studying International Business and Management[5] at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. She dropped out in 2012 to continue her singing career.[6]
