ReceptionEdit
- Malayalam version
A critic from Nowrunning wrote that "Perarasu's Samrajyam 2 is a folly of sorts. For one, it has the gall to pretend to be a sequel to a film that many viewers still hold close to their hearts. And what's more, it does so by cooking up a tale that is unwittingly tedious, narrated in a fashion that is hideously bland".[8] A critic from Indiaglitz stated that "Its sequel Samrajyam 2 is nothing but a disaster".[9]
- Tamil version
A critic from Nettv4u wrote that "This is a onetime watcher movie. If you are looking for an entertainer movie then this movie is for you".[10] A critic from Nowrunning opined that "Overall, Tihar is an utterly annoying action drama with endless number of poorly choreographed action sequences".[11]
