Plot[edit]
Kambilikkandam Jose, a drug baron, arrives in Kochi to meet Pattakkalil Purushothaman Pilla, demanding a massive hike in his commission. Well-known as Appichai, Purushothaman Pillai is one of the largest drug dealers in South India, along with Sethumadhavan, his foster son.
Abishai calls back Sethu, who is on a vacation cruise trip in Goa. On Sethu's arrival back in Kochi, he kills Jose with some help from Balagopal, the IG of the police. But the death of Jose brings on a strong protest inside the state, causing the Chief Minister orders a detailed investigation into the case.
Narendran, Assistant Commissioner of the Police, is put in charge of the inquiry. Widely known as Nari (tiger) for his aggressive and belligerent style of behavior, he begins the investigation by questioning Dr. Ratnakumari (the assistant surgeon who conducted the postmortem examination on Jose). Narendran finds the marks of physical assault on Jose's face, what was not mentioned in the report.
Then Narendran reaches out to the Jose's family, who is found dead in the suburbs of the city the next day.
Sethumadhavan, who also holds an illegal business partnership with the state Chief Minister's son, is one of the most influential businessmen in the country. Under cover of Karunyadeepam, a spiritual ashram, under Rema Bai / Rema Behan, Sethu runs a vast drug cartel along with South India. Narendran, through his sharp investigative methods, reaches out to Rema Behan, who is found dead the following day.
Narendran encounters several obstacles throughout his challenging task, including the son of the CM and several senior police officers. Eventually, Narendran is discharged from the investigation.
In the end Nari tells CM that Sethu came the day before and showed him a video clip on the CM's son. Afterwards CM lets Nari carry on with the investigation. Nari arrests Sethu, who threatened Appichai, since Nari had given him 24 hours to reveal information on Sethu.
When Nari and Sethu get to a safe place, Helen's brothers turn up trying to kill Sethu, but it is Nari who kills them. Sethu shoots Nari in the arm, and he responds by shooting Sethu in the leg. Nari shoots the car hanging from the garage ceiling, which crushes Sethu's legs. To cut the long story short Sethu is left bleeding to death.
