Roisin Coleman (born June 8, 1998) is a New York-based YouTuber and cybersecurity expert, who helps people recover their mobile devices or social media accounts. She is known for her social media presence and generates engaging videos that help people protect themselves from cyberattacks.

Early life[edit]

Coleman was born in Hartford, Connecticut, the United States on June 8, 1998, and holds Irish and American citizenship. She graduated from St. Bonaventure University, New York with a dual degree in cybersecurity and journalism.[1] While attending St. Bonaventure, she helped develop her university’s security operations centre and cybersecurity graduate program. She was also the executive producer for her university’s news station. Coleman spent her early life in Connecticut and Ireland and currently lives in New York City.[2] She is the youngest of four siblings.[3]

Career[edit]

She started making YouTube videos during her junior year of college amidst studying for my cybersecurity final exams. As of July 2022, she has posted 11 videos on YouTube and her popular video "What to do if your phone has been hacked!" received 165,259 views. She also provides advice for recovering your social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram and TikTok if they have been hacked.[4] She began her YouTube channel focusing on tips for protecting and recovering mobile devices, but quickly she moved to social media after noticing the sheer amount of her friends and family getting hacked on Instagram and Facebook.[5][6]
