Dr. Ravi Shankar Thakur is an Indian Hindi poet and lyricist known for "Kavya Sudha" a collection of Hindi poetry published in the year 2004 by Vaibhav Prakashan, Raipur Chhattisgarh, India.

Early life and career[edit]

Ravi was born on July 29, 1985, in Mahasamund, Chhattisgarh to Suresh Thakur and Radha Thakur. He completed his early education from Kendriya Vidyalaya in Mahasamund and then went to Kendriya Vidyalaya in Raipur Chhattisgarh. Ravi completed his graduation in MBBS from Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Sciences and current doing MD on Radiation Oncology.

He started his career as a poet in 2004 and wrote his debut book "Kavya Sudha" a collection of Hindi poetry which was published by Vaibhav Prakashan publications in 2004 and in September 2020, he released a music album "Shravan Kumar a Khandkavya" based on his poetry. The lyric of the album is a Khandkavya based on the life story of Shravan Kumar written by himself in between the year 2001 - 2002 and it has four chapters Janm, Vivah, Tirthatan and Mrityu.
