Rathin Maitra

Rathin Maitra (also spelled Rathin Moitra) (1913–1997) was a founding member of the Calcutta Group.[1][2] He was invited by the Bombay Art Society to hold a solo show in September 1947.[3] The event was inaugurated by the then mayor of Bombay A.P. Sabawalla.[4]
Exhibitions[edit]
1944, first exhibition of the Calcutta Group held at the Services arts Club, Chowringhee.[5]
