Puguntha Veedu is an Indian Tamil-language soap opera that aired on Zee Tamil. The show premiered on 16 June 2012 and aired Monday through Friday 7:00PM IST. Starting from Monday 24 February 2014, the show was shifted to 8:00PM time Slot. Its story is based on the novel "Naan Ramasheshan Vandhirukkiren".
The show starring by Shamita, Srikaran, Sindhu Shyam and Delhi Kumar. It was directed by R. Balaji Yathev M.A and B.Nithiyanandham and producer by T.T.G Thiyagasaravanan and Selvi Thiyakarajan. The show last aired on 15 August 2014 and ended with 766 episodes.
Plot[edit]
The story is based on the novel "Naan Ramasheshan Vandhirukkirean" written by Indra Soundarrajan. The story revolves around Radha and her strong bonding with her father, her roller-coaster ride in life after wedding and how she handles all the relationships. Radha is a motherless child and the father who is a school teacher brings her up with very good values. Both love each other immensely and Radha's respect and affection for her father has no bounds. Radha is of marriageable age and her marriage stops in the Mandap due to some unforeseen circumstances. Then Radha is married off in the same Mandap which her father thinks is nothing short of a miracle. But sadly he is totally unaware of the happenings in Radha's in-laws' house after the marriage. The story is woven around tender sentiments which grip your throat and make the audience glued to the story and its characters.
Cast[edit]
- Shamitha Shreekumar as Radha is total introvert who does not share her feelings easily with anyone. She is a highly responsible and self-made woman. She thinks more about her near and dear than about herself.
- Srikaran as Viswanathan had an extra-marital relationship with Anu and he was a very selfish and self-centered person who is now repenting for his wrongdoings. He had once neglected his wife and daughter but is now trying to make up with them.
- Sindhu Shyam as Anusha. She marries Visu illegally and she is very possessive over him. She will go to any extent to retain Visu. A very intelligent, beautiful and scheming woman
- Delhi Kumar as Ramanathan A very loveable human being who brought up his daughter single-handedly. He loves her dearly and will go to any extent to safeguard his daughter and granddaughter.
