Gokulathil Seethai (transl. Seetha at Gokullam) is a 2019 Indian Tamil-language soap opera broadcasting on Zee Tamil. It starring Asha Gowda and Nanda Gopal in the lead roles. The show premiered on 4 November 2019.

Plot

Vasundhara "Vasu" from a middle-class family, worked in bouquet shop. She has mother Thulasi, half-father Hari (her second father), younger sister Elakkiya and grandmother Gandhimati – a greedy and arrogant lady, who was Vasu's father's sister. She always hates Vasu and her mother because of an accident that happened in past. Meanwhile, Suchitra – a rich and handicapped lady, whose first son Arjun is a playboy and irresponsible man who always is free and who does not listen to his mother, whatever she says. Arjun always does anything his aunt Pappima says. Suchitra worries about Arjun for his attitude and carelessness because of the accident happened in past. (Both accidents are related and coincide with each other)

In past, Suchitra, her husband Jaikrishna Rajashekar "JKR", (played by Jeeva Ravi) with their son young Arjun, who was about ten years had gone in a car to attend the function. That time Suchitra was pregnant. As JKR drove the car, Arjun wished to drove. Suchitra not allowed Arjun but JKR convinced her and allowed Arjun to sit in front him at driver seat to drive. On that gap, Arjun drinks a coke and that tin was stuck on the brake pedal. After some minutes JKR unable to stop the car. Suchitra got shocked and told JKR to stop the car, but he can't put a break. As car the moved fast, suddenly they hit an old man and the car accident on the tree. After some time Suchitra woke up and cried a lot has she saw JKR was dead but fortunately Arjun and her pregnant baby was alive. As this incident happened, on the other hand on the same day Gandhimati started firstly to drive a car and she drove fast on the road that time she doesn't know to stop the car. Immediately she hit an old man and he fall down on road and he asked to help. But Gandhimati shocked and she did not help him, so that the old man died. As both accidents are related and coincide with each other, because both JKR and Gandhimati hit the same old man, he is none other than Vasu's grandfather Krishnamoorthy. The story behind is young Vasu, her mother Thulasi and her grandfather was waited for bus to move from the city. That period, Vasu had only mother not father. As her grandfather gave a silver coin to Vasu to keep this coin has safe and secure. After long time the bus not came, so that Vasu's grandfather told them that he will asked somebody for the bus time, so he leaves them and went to ask. As he cross the road that time only JKR hit him by the car, so Vasu's grandfather fall down. But his good time he not got any injury and he woke up from that place and ready to move, but promptly Gandhimati hit him and again he had an accident, was injured heavily and died. As Vasu and her mother learnt this news and worried a lot, that how they will manage their life, Gandhimati's brother decided and married Vasu's mother. So that only Gandhimati hates Vasu and Suchitra worried about Arjun.

Now Gandhimati's granddaughter Elakkiya, who performs Bharathanatiyam in dance function. In that function, the chief guest Aanand, who was Suchitra's second son and he was a good and calm man attend the function and he sponsored 10 lakh for the show. Has Gandhimati surprised and she decided to fixed him as Elakkiya's husband. The next day, Suchitra decided to appoint a secretary for Arjun to guide and take care of him. So she published this information on news with she mention the salary has 1 lakh per month. Has this news known by Gandhimati and she thought if Vasu got that job then she got more money from her and Elakkiya will easily be a daughter-in-law in JKR family, also Vasu thought to earn money for the family. So she joint has secretary for Arjun. Suchitra told Vasu to take care of him properly. After some days, Vasu hates Arjun's Behavior and attitude and he also treated Vasu in the bad manner, so she decided to change the arrogant and rich Arjun into a responsible person. As days passed on Arjun changes his attitude and he tries to be a good human because of Vasu and he understands Vasu's caring as friend. As Suchitra had happy about Arjun and she thank Vasu.

Arjun's cousin Nakshatra, who loves him and she aim to marry him because for her mother Indira, that if she marries Arjun, then all the properties will be assigned to Nakshatra. Indira and Nakshatra got angry about Vasu, as she take cares Arjun, so Indira told Nakshatra to scold Vasu and keep eye on her. After some days Arjun found a silver coin and he remembers his heart-friend. In past, has JKR died, Suchitra and young Arjun gone to hospital by Pappima for further treatment. Young Arjun worried about his father's death and came out from hospital and cross the road, that time a car came near to him for hit, but suddenly a female child rescue Arjun from the accident, that child is young Vasu, who also came hospital with her mother for admit her death grandfather. Young Arjun saw her in a surprise manner and young Vasu smiled and she gave a silver coin (which was earlier giver by her grandfather) to Arjun, then he smiled. Pappima searches Arjun and asked the nurse where he was. Then the nurse searches the hospital to find him. Then the nurse saw Arjun and she gets him back to Pappima. Vasu also gave the idea to Arjun to find his heart-heart without knowing that she only. Now at present Arjun thought this incident and he decides to the heart-friend. But Arjun doesn't know that his heart-friend is Vasu. Arjun tells Aanand to find that girl, then they both decided to go and meet a drawing artist and they told to draw a girl child. That Artist told Arjun to narrate how she will be. Arjun told everything to Artist and he told them to come after 10 days to draw the girl. On the other side, Suchitra and Pappima called the news channel to publishes the news to find that girl. Also, she told Arjun will marry a girl, whom he saw in childhood. Nakshatra and Indira got this news and they planned kill the drawing artist, because if he drawn the girl and give it Arjun and he will marry that girl and he will leave Nakshatra. Drawing Artist drawn the completely the image and decided to give to Arjun, but suddenly he falls down and he admitted in hospital. Vasu and Aanand urgently went to meet the Artist in hospital and he told that Vasu is the heart-friend. Vasu surprised and Aanand also happy and calling her has sister-in-law. Vasu started to love Arjun and she decides to tell him that she is the heart-friend. But Vasu has not guts to tell the truth and also she has no evidence to prove. Nakshatra and Indira, searching for the drawing to tear. But the drawing was hidden in some place because of wind blows. Gandhimati knows the news of Nakshatra and Indira's plan. Indira pleased Gandhimati to keep this news secret. Then Gandhimati had deal with Indira that, if she not to tell this incident, her granddaughter should marry Aanand with help of Indira also she will help for Nakshatra to marry Arjun. Indira accepts this deal and both of them been friends.

Jyothimani, a crime partner of Gandhimati, who always do, what she says. Gandhimati wants Jyothimani to marry Vasu to spoil her life. But Arjun not allowed Vasu to marry him and Arjun hated Jyothimani and he always fought with Jyothimani where ever he saw. Thus Jyothimani fears for Arjun and he hides himself. Gandhimati angry on Vasu and she decides whatever happens, Jyothimani only will marry Vasu. Arjun worries for Vasu and he tells his Assistant Utthaman to find a bride for Vasu. But Vasu loves Arjun. Arjun tells Vasu's family to stay in his house, has he told to them, he will take care of Vasu's marriage. Vasu's parents were happy and they both with Gandhimati and Elakkiya were also happy that if Elakkiya enters the house then she will easy marry Aanand. But Aanand refuses Elakkiya, whenever he saw her. So Elakkiya decides to call him like another girl to Aanand to impress him. As Vasu's mother Thulasi found a drawing in the kitchen and she opened. She got shocked that Vasu was in the drawing and she knows that Vasu is the heart friend of Arjun. Then the drawing was passed hand on hand, but Arjun did not get an opportunity to see that drawing. Also one day Vasu was smiling with seeing Arjun's photo, Arjun saw this and went nearby her to give the photo. Vasu got shocked and she not gave the photo. As Gandhimati saw this act, and she thought if Arjun saw the photo then he knows Vasu is the heart-friend of him, so she changed the photo. Finally, Arjun saw that photo and the person was Ilamaaran, a business man. Arjun was happy and he fixed Ilamaaran for Vasu. But Vasu secretly worries and accepts this marriage. Ilamaaran also forced Arjun that if he needs to marry Vasu, then Arjun should to marry his sister Meenakshi, a handicapped girl. Arjun family got shocked but Arjun accepts Meenakshi.
