Pir Syed Kareem Ali Shah also known as Kareem Ali Shah, was a Hindustani Shia Muslim scholar (Urdu: پیر سید کریم علی) He is the grandfather of Pakistani politician and Islamic scholar Pir Syed Nazim Hussain Shah.

Life[edit]

Shah was born into a Shia family in December 27, 1939.[3] Shah's family moved to Pakistan after the partition of India and Pakistan.[4][5]

In 2021, Pakistan and India honored him by establishing A shrine built by Pakistani Shia Community and Indian Shia Community on the spot and a dome was created over the grave. Over the dome they fixed a green flag. Two entrance gates were made for the shrine. They also settled several families around the enclosure. Pakistani Shia Community Made an College in Rawalpindi , Pakistan using his Namesake (Pir Syed Kareem Ali Shah) College.
