Naresh Kumar (CRPF officer)

Naresh Kumar (born 1985) is an officer in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) of India. On 14 August 2020 he was awarded his seventh police medal for gallantry, the most ever received by a single officer in the force's history.[1][2]

Background[edit]

Kumar was born in a Army family in Punjab. He completed his studies from Punjabi University and began appearing for entrance exams to the armed forces. He cleared the CRPF Assistant Commandant exam (UPSC), and joined the CRPF in March 2013.[3][1]
