Shri Namo Narain Meena (born 24 December 1943) was a Minister of State for Finance in Government of India.^[1] He was elected to 14th Lok Sabha from Tonk-Sawai Madhopur constituency in Rajasthan as a candidate of INC Indian National Congress party.^[2] He served the Indian Government as Union Minister of State in the Ministry of Environment and Forests from 2004 to 2009. After winning again on Member of Parliament seat from Tonk Sawai Madhopur constituency, defeating Mr. Kirori Singh Bainsla, He had served Govt. of India as Union Minister of State(EB&I) in Ministry of Finance, India.

Namo Narain Meena assumes the charge of Union Minister for Environment & Forest in New Delhi on May 24, 2004,

Police career[edit]

Shri Namo Narayan Meena served as an Indian Police Service officer of the 1969 batch of Rajasthan cadre. He started his career as an Asstt. Superintendent of Police, 1969–73 He further served as Superintendent of Police, 1973–87; D.I.G. of Police, 1987–93; I.G. of Police, 1993–99; Additional D.G. of Police, 1999–2003 & Member, State Human Rights Commission, Jaipur, 11 September 2003- 22 March 2004. He was the recipient of the Presidential Police Medal and President's Distinguished Service Medal.
