Naane Raja Naane Mandhiri (transl. I am both the king and minister) is a 1985 Tamil-language comedy-drama film, directed by Balu Anand and produced by Thooyavan. The film stars Vijayakanth, Raadhika, Jeevitha, Goundamani and Senthil. The film had a musical score by Ilaiyaraaja.[1] The film was a blockbuster at box office and was remade in Telugu as Nene Raja Nene Mantri (1987) with Mohan Babu.

A self centred egoistic village zamindar Rangamani who makes fun of people, is rude by nature and brashly tries to accommodate a teacher who comes to his village in search of work. The movie in the end show how she gets to understand him, how he reacts and how his uncle's daughter who initially adversely reacts to his tantrums reacts.
