At present, Madhava Rao (Nassar) & Raja (Nandamuri Balakrishna) are their heirs who live in the same premises constructing walls in between. Madhava Rao is married to her eldest daughter Parvati (Sangeeta) and Raja is in love with her younger daughter Shanti (Vijayashanti). Raja is good-natured and amicable to Rajeswari Devi and respects Madhava Rao as his elder but he continues the animosity. Always various disputes arise between them. Meanwhile, Rajeswari Devi plans for the marriage of Raja & Shanti which is strongly opposed by Madhava Rao and warns that he will leave his wife if they proceed further. Then, Raja affirms that he will not marry her till his brother agrees. Later, Parvati leaves the house and performs marriage of them. Because Madhava Rao's atrocities increase day by day Raja takes all powers from him. Begrudged Madhava Rao brings a corrupt police officer for that area but Raja pays him back. Besides, Madhava Rao's sister Sumati (Sarada Pritha) loves a school teacher Raghu (Vasanth). Madhava Rao tries to separate them when Raja shields. At this juncture, Raja's friend Radha (Lathasri) arrives whom he treats as his sister but evil Madhava Rao attributes illicit relation between them. Exploiting it, Police officer kills Radha and indicts Raja in crime. He even pictures Shanti as a prostitute and tries to apprehend her when Rajeswari Devi slaughters him and she too commits suicide to unite the brothers. At this point, Raja escapes from jail and promises Rajeswari Devi to perform the wedding of Sumathi with Raghu. In hiding, Raja makes all arrangements to knit them whereas Madhava Rao plans to eliminate them.
