Melane is a village in Sindkhede in Dhule district of Maharashtra State, India. It is located 16 kilometres (9.9 mi) from sub district headquarter and 37 kilometres (23 mi) from district headquarter. The village is administrated by Sarpanch an elected representative of the village as per Panchayati raj (India). [1]

As of 2009, The village has a total number of 141 houses and a population of 826 of which 428 are males while 398 are females. According to the report published by Census India in 2011, out of the total population of the village 0 people are from Schedule Caste and 194 are from Schedule Tribes Caste.[1]
