Mehar Singh (born 1922) was an Indian politician. He was elected as Member of the Punjab Legislative Assembly from Faridkot in 1957.[1]

Education[edit]

Singh was educated till matric.[1]

Political career[edit]

Singh joined Praja Mandal Movement in Faridkot in 1939. He became member of Punjab State Regional Council and was appointed as General Secretary of Faridkot Praja Mandal in 1947.[1]

Singh was elected to Punjab Legislative Assembly in 1957 on a Indian National Congress ticket. He defeated Harinder Singh of Congress by 1124 votes.[2]
