Manoj S Nair is a Film director and Screenwriter from Kerala, India who predominantly works in Malayalam cinema. Manoj S Nair made his directorial debut in the Malayalam film industry with Lessons.[1][2][3][4][5]
Personal life and education[edit]
Manoj S Nair was born on 14 August 1979 in Attingal, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. He completed his schooling from B.T.S,Attingal and Govt B.H.S Attingal. He did his pre-university course at St. Xavier's College, Thumba,Completed Bachelor of Science BSc in Physics St. Xavier's College, Thumba;after which he completed his Bachelor of Engineering B.Tech. (in Electrical engineering(EEE) from NSS College of Engineering,Palakkad and Thangal Kunju Musaliar College of Engineering,Kollam. He is working as R&D Engineer in a Central Government organistaion at Thiruvananthapuram.
He also served as an executive member of `CONTACT`;[6][7][8][9][failed verification] an organization for artists and technicians of film and television fraternity of Kerala.
Career[edit]
Manoj S Nair is a blogger, and screenplay writer.He has scripted and directed some short films and commercials.His screenplay 'Darbe Guje'(2016) had bagged Special Jury award in International documentary and short film Festival of Kerala (IDSFFK2016) organised by Kerala State Chalachitra Academy.[10] In the year 2018, he written and directed the short fiction film Goal...[11] It was selected and screened for more than 15 national and international festivals across the globe and won various awards.[12][13][14][15] Manoj S Nair made his directorial debut in the Malayalam film industry with Lessons.[16][17][18][19] the four-part anthology film by CONTACT members and technicians in the banner of CONTACT Films released in October 2019.His part is based on his award-winning screenplay "Swargathil oru Rathri".[20][21][22] His screenplay collection book is published in February 2022 as 'Swargathil Oru Rathri' by India Books Trivandrum.[23][24][25]
