Traction[edit]
As the route is going to electrification, an Electric Loco Shed, Tughlakabad based WAP-7 hauls the train from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus till Katihar Junction after which a Siliguri-based WDP-4B diesel locomotive pulls the train to its destination.
