Laila Zuberi (born on 18 August 1957) is a Pakistani television actress known for her roles in numerous drama series. She also starred in the 2016 film Teri Meri Love Story. During the 1980s and 1990s, she was among the most prominent and successful actresses of her era.
Career[edit | edit source]
Laila Zuberi began her career in radio before transitioning to television in the 1980s with dramas such as Chhayon (1984) and Koshish (1985). Over the years, she cemented her reputation as a prolific TV actress, starring in numerous series. In 2012, she featured in Geo TV’s Annie Ki Ayegi Barat and Hum TV’s Durr-e-Shehwar. The following year, she appeared in Kankar Shaista (Hum TV).
Her film debut came in 2014 with Mohabbat Ab Nahin Hogi, where she portrayed a motherly role, followed by Hum TV’s Laa the same year. In 2015, she played Ghazala’s mother in Jugnoo (Hum TV) and later starred in the 2016 film Man Mayal. That year, she also appeared in the acclaimed TV serials Sila and Udaari. Her 2017 projects included notable films like Aashna and Baaghi.
Laila Zuberi also featured in the drama Sabaat, alongside talented actors like Sarah Khan, Usama Khalid, and Mawra Hucane, who delivered strong performances in their respective roles.
