Kursath is the town and a nagar panchayat in Hardoi district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It has 10 wards named Jawahar Nagar, Azad Nagar, Gauri Nagar, Pant Nagar, Rajendra Nagar, Patel Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Subhash Nagar, Ram Nagar and Ashok Nagar. It has 2 gram Sabhas with tWest part of town which is known as Kursath khurd and eastern part as Kursath buzurg,
In the field of Education the town has schools and colleges among them V.S. Inter College, Nagar Vikas Inter College are considered good.
Notable temples of Kursath are Thanapati baba temple, Nilkanth Temple, Gayatri temple. Ramleela during diwali is well known. There exists the Gramin Bank of Aryavart and Bank of India with ATM, post office, police chauki, and a homeopathic and Ayurvedic government hospital.
Primary School and Kanya Junior School also here. In near by area, government inter college also present.
The train station's name is Atwa-Kursath. For Sim Card and Recharges Pathak Telecom is well known. It has markets on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Kursath has one river in north side .river name is Sai.
Famous railway station- 1-Balamau junction south east side from kursath distance between them is approx 12 kilometer.facility to trevel you can go lucknow. Varanasi, kanpur , Delhi, Deharadoon,kolkata etc. 2-kannauj railway station 40 kilometer from kursath in south west direction. Trevelling facilites you can go Delhi ,Rajasthan , kanpur, Agara, Ahamdabad etc. 3-Hardoi railway station 50kilometer from kursath in north west direction. Delhi to lucknow railway route passing via Hardoi.
Lucknow is 80 kilometer east direction from kursath. Kanpur is 100km from kursath in south east direction.
Delhi is 450 kilometer in west direction.

History- to make town from Gram panchayt of Kursath nagar panchayat main leadership done by Mr Jagdish Tyagi. Tyagi ji takes only milk in food from 50 years. In present time chairman is Kalpana Devi. Ganga river from kursath is 30 kilometer south direction.

As of 2001[update] India census,[1] Kursath had a population of 5,654. Males constitute 54% of the population and females 46%. Kursath has an average literacy rate of 62%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 70%, and female literacy is 53%. In Kursath, 17% of the population is under 6 years of age.
