Kshetrapati (2023 film)
Kshetrapati is an upcoming Kannada feature film written and directed by Shrikanth Katagi. The film will be released on 18 August 2023.[1][2] The film stars Naveen Shankar, Archana Jois, Rahul Ainapur and Harsh Arjun while the prime supporting cast includes Achyuth Kumar, Krishna Hebbale, Shailashree Urs, Natya Ranga and Sardar.[3]

Naveen Shankar plays an Engineering student turned rebellious farmer while Archana Jois plays the new age journalist based in Bangalore.[4] It is a father-son relationship drama revolving around the agrarian crisis set in North Karnataka.[5][6]

The film was shot in North Karnataka locations such as Gadag, Ilkal, Hubballi and Dharwad. It portrays North Karnataka culture, cuisine, costume and dialect.[7]
ReleaseEdit
Kshetrapati is scheduled to be theatrically released on 18 August 2023 in Kannada in about 135 screens across Karnataka.[citation needed]
