Karki (Devanagari:कार्की) is a Nepali/Kumaoni surname found among the Chettri community of Nepal and the Kshatriya/Pahari Rajput community of Uttarakhand.[1] Karki is one of the prominent Chettri clans in Nepal.[2] It was also a title given to the tax collectors in the medieval Khasa Kingdom.[3]
