Kangana Sharma (born 3 April 1989) is an Indian actress and model who has worked primarily in Hindi films, television, web series and music videos. She gained wider recognition after appearing in the Hindi comedy film Great Grand Masti (2016). She subsequently appeared in television productions, web series and music videos.
Early life and Education[edit | edit source]
Sharma was born on 3 April 1989 in Haryana, India. She studied at Kurukshetra University and is reported to have graduated in Arts. According to biographical profiles, Sharma initially had an interest in joining the Indian armed forces and participated in the National Cadet Corps (NCC) during her college years. She later turned towards modelling and entertainment.
Modelling career[edit | edit source]
Sharma began working as a model before entering acting. Sources place the beginning of her professional modelling work around 2012, including print assignments and advertising campaigns. She participated in the Miss Maxim India competition in 2014 and was reported as a runner-up. Her modelling work helped her gain exposure in the entertainment industry and subsequently led to opportunities in films, television and music videos.

Sharma made her Hindi film debut with the comedy film Great Grand Masti (2016), in which she appeared alongside Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi and Aftab Shivdasani. The film marked her entry into mainstream Hindi cinema. She subsequently appeared in projects including Ram Ratan (2017), Used (2019) and other short-form and digital productions. She also appeared in the television series Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh, Piyaji in 2017. In the digital entertainment space, Sharma appeared in the web series Mona Home Delivery, in which she played the title character, Mona. Her other reported digital credits include The Casino and several short-form productions.
