Kakani is a village in Sakri tehsil in Dhule district of Maharashtra State, India. It is located 44 kilometres (27 mi) from sub district headquarter and 48 kilometres (30 mi) from district headquarter. The village is administrated by Sarpanch an elected representative of the village as per Panchayati raj (India). [1]
Demography[edit | edit source]
As of 2009, The village has a total number of 464 houses and a population of 2201 of which 1165 are males while 1036 are females. According to the report published by Census India in 2011, out of the total population of the village 120 people are from Schedule Caste and 825 are from Schedule Tribes Caste.[1]
