Kaali is a 1980 Indian Tamil-language film written by Mahendran and directed by I. V. Sasi. Produced by Hem-Nag, the film stars Rajinikanth, Vijayakumar, Seema, Phataphat Jayalakshmi and Shubha in prominent roles.[1][2] The film was simultaneously made in Telugu with Chiranjeevi replacing Vijayakumar's role.[3] The cinematography was handled by Ashok Kumar and soundtrack was composed by Ilaiyaraaja.[4]
