Jagdish Prasad Mathur (13/1/1928-04/08/2007) was an Indian politician and a leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He was born in 1928 in Sikar district of Rajasthan state and was associated with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. He became a member of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh in 1952 and elected to Rajasthan Legislative Assembly for 1957- 62 term. He served as secretary and president of Rajasthan unit of Jan Sangh. Later he represented Sikar in 6th Lok Sabha and became a member of the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Indian parliament from 3-4-1970 to 2-4-1976.[1][2]
