Jaane Jaan (transl. Beloved) is an upcoming 2023 Indian Hindi-language mystery thriller film written and directed by Sujoy Ghosh for Netflix.[1][2] The film is an adaptation of the 2005 Japanese novel The Devotion of Suspect X by Keigo Higashino.[3][4]

It stars Kareena Kapoor Khan as a single mother involved in a murder, alongside Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma.[5][6] The film is produced under the banner 12th Street Entertaiment and Northern Lights Films in association with Kross Pictures and Balaji Motion Pictures.[7] It is scheduled to be released on 21 September 2023 on Netflix.[8][9]

Announcement and filmingEdit

The film was officially announced in March 2022.[10] Principal Photography commenced from May 2022 onwards in Kalimpong west Bengal.[11]

Marketing and releaseEdit

On 25 August 2023, the teaser with a release date was announced by Netflix.[12] The makers planned to release the film on the day of Kareena Kapoor birthday on 21 September 2023.[13]
