Format[edit]
Auditions
The format of the show largely remained the same as the last year's. This year not only Online Auditions took place but also Producers' Auditions were brought back as the COVID-19 restrictions were removed.
One who qualifies the producers' audition is called to the main stage of the show in Filmistan Studio in Mumbai. The contestants are given 2-3 minutes to showcase their acts in front of the trio of judges. Each judge has a buzzer which they can press anytime during the act if they feel the act is just a waste of time or is bad. Their is also a Golden Buzzer which can be pressed by any judge twice during the audition round to send the act straight into the quarter-finals (Top 16), escaping judge cuts or culling round. Quarter-finals
Finals in IGT operate differently from any other version of Got Talent franchise. The format change was occurred from season 9 when the telecasting network was changed.
Along with 6 golden buzzer acts, other 8 which are chosen by the judges move on to quarter-finals to compete in against each other in a weekly competition eliminating 1 or 2 contestant each week until Semi-Finals. On Sunday, the bottom 2 or 3 contestants in public vote from previous week are called upon, and judges, in an anonymous vote have to save a contestant. Golden buzzer can also be pressed by any judge during quarter-finals to highly appreciate an act, however it does not have any effect on the contestant's votes.
Season overview[edit]
The taglines for the seasons returned once again. The tagline for the tenth season was "Vijayi Vishwa Hunar Hamara".[2]
This year shooting took place at Filmistan Studio. The show was again hosted by Arjun Bijlani. Once again this year, the judging panel changed following Manoj Muntashir's removal from the season after ill-received comments made on the Adipurush movie, for which he wrote the dialogues. Kirron Kher, Badshah and Shilpa Shetty Kundra reprised their role as judges.[3][4]
Golden Buzzer Summary[edit]
Golden buzzer returned for its sixth series. Host was once again allowed to use to golden buzzer after season 8. This year the golden buzzer acts went straight to Top 14. In Quarter-finals, "Golden Buzzer" was used as an appreciation key.
