Ankit Singh Patyal, better known by his stage names IKKA and Ikka Singh, is an Indian rapper and lyricist.

Ikka was introduced to Hip Hop genre during his school days by his friend Joel and post that he never looked back. He used to listen to various international hip hop artists during his early times to learn and enhance his rap skills. He kept on enhancing his skills and participated in various talent competitions and won in most of them during this period of his journey.

Soon after the trend of Desi Hip Hop began, Ikka joined forces with Lil Golu and Raftaar. They started recording songs on their own and uploaded their talent on social media sites through which they gained a lot of popularity among the youngsters.

As his journey moved forward, he met ADX and JB alongside music producer Gaurav dayal who supported the young talents and gave them a break as featuring artists with Mika Singh’s ‘Sher-e-Punjab’ song. The fresh approach in music allowed them to have their debut album recorded as a group named ‘Nau Sau Bai’ which was also the name of the trio group produced by Gaurav Dayal.

Ikka soon decided to move forward as a solo artist and through his hard work and dedication; managed to get noticed by a lot of well-known artists in the Punjabi music industry. He gained more popularity as a lyricist of ‘Main Fan Bhagat Singh Da’ performed by Diljit Dosanjh. Ikka wrote and featured in lots of hit songs for several well-known Punjabi artists eg. “This Singh is so stylish” ft. Diljit Dosanjh, “Khat” ft. Guru Randhawa, “Teddy Bear” ft. Kanika Kapoor, “Workout” JSL Singh, “Pasina” ft. Jaz Dhami, “Get Down” ft. Juggy D, Rishi Rich, “YoYo” ft. RS Chauhan etc.

He debuted in Bollywood music industry through his song ‘In Da Club’ for the movie “Tamanchey”. Post that he gave and featured in Bollywood’s mega hits such as “Paani Wala Dance”, “Jawani Le Doobi”, “Dilbar” remake, “Oh ho ho ho” remake, “Chamma Chamma” remake, “Mummy Kasam”, “Badri ki Dulhania”, “Kamariya” and many more.

His love for hardcore hip hop evolved and continued; resulting in his pure hip hop tracks “Shuruwat”, “Theek Hai Theek Hai” ft. Lil Golu, “Sapne”, “Interview”, “Hip to the Hop” etc. the success and recognition through these tracks inspired him to release his solo debut album “I” under the music label “Mass Appeal India” which gave mega Hip Hop tracks such as “Level Up” ft. Divine & Kaater, “Angaar” ft. Raftaar, “Gaane Waaley Rapper” ft. Lil Golu, “Maujjan” ft. Sikander Kahlon, “Demon” and a lot more. He is the second Indian rapper to be signed by Mass Appeal India.
