The 20897/20898 Howrah - Ranchi Vande Bharat Express is India's 31st Vande Bharat Express train, connecting the city of Howrah in West Bengal with Ranchi in Jharkhand.[1] This train was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 24 September 2023 via video conference from New Delhi.[2]

This train is operated by Indian Railways, connecting Howrah Jn, Kharagpur Jn, Tatanagar Jn, Chandil Jn, Purulia Jn, Kotshila Jn, Muri Jn and Ranchi Jn. It is currently operated with train numbers 20897/20898 on 6 days a week basis.[3][4]
Rakes[edit]
It is the twenty-ninth 2nd Generation and seventeenth Mini Vande Bharat 2.0 Express train which was designed and manufactured by the Integral Coach Factory at Perambur, Chennai under the Make in India Initiative.[5]
