Harsh Vashisht is an Indian film and television actor.[1] He is the son of yesteryear character actor Brahmachari. He made his career debut as a child artist in the movie Kohraam (1991), starring Dharmendra in lead. Then he went onto star in movies like Veerta (1993), Sur - The Melody of Life (2002), Jism (2003), Baghban (2003) and Love Story 2050 (2008). He made his television debut with the show Vishwaas (2003) in the role of Aditya Pradhan. From then he has starred in many television shows like Shararat (2003-2006), Shanno Ki Shaadi (2005-2006), Banoo Main Teri Dulhann (2007-2008), Yahaaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli (2009-2012), Qubool Hai (2012), Veera (2012-2013), Oye Jassie (2013-2014), Sadda Haq (2013-2016), Sanyukt (2016), RadhaKrishn (2018), Tantra (2018-2019) and Aladdin (2020). He also appeared in Zee5 original web series Bhram (2019) in the role of Dr. Saini, starring Kalki Koechlin in lead. From December 2020, Vashisht is playing the role of Alok Sabharwal in Shaurya Aur Anokhi Ki Kahani which is being aired on Star Plus.

Vashisht was also seen in Prem Ya Paheli - Chandrakanta with Triangle Films, Tantra on Colors TV with Swastik Productions, Jolly in Kavach... Mahashivratri on Colors TV with Balaji Telefilms (his 1st show with Balaji) & Ek Veer Ki Ardaas...Veera[2] as Kartar Singh on Star Plus.[3][4] He worked in Sadda Haq as Harshvardhan Shekhawat on Channel V India.[5] He played the role of Amrit Singh in Doli Armano Ki. He was last seen in Ishq Mein Marjawan as the protagonist Aarohi's Elder Brother, Aniket Kashyap on Colors TV. He was also the face of Pepsodent Toothpaste as the Dentist for 4 years. He was last seen in Aladdin - Naam Toh Suna Hoga as Sultan Firoz, king of Turkmenistan on Sab TV.[6]

Personal life[edit]

Harsh's father is veteran character actor Murari Lal Vasishtha, who is also known as Brahmachari.[7] His brother is also an actor Puneet Vashisht.[8]

Vashisht is married to actress Ritu Vashisht.[9]
