Plot[edit]

This is the love story of a textiles manufacturer owner, Raju (Anant Nag), and his secretary, Asha/Gagana (Khushbu).

Asha, a chatterbox joins as secretary to Raju, a widower. With her dedication, she wins over the disciplined Raju. When Asha's mother reveals to her that she was married in her childhood, Asha is heart-broken. Raju's mother visits Asha's house to comfort her, only to find Asha is Gagana, the kid, who was married in her childhood to Raju. She brings Gagana to her house, but Raju, who doesn't remember the child-marriage and is leading a widower's life after death of his wife Devayani (Mahalakshmi), does not accept Gagana into his life.

The rest of the story narrates how Gagana wins over Raju, his house and also saves him from dangers.

Soundtrack[edit]

Two Songs are Super Hits: Especially "Baagilu Teredhu" was instant hit with Khushboo in the rain becoming wet and hot, also looking beautiful. "Ellu Kaanenu Nanintha Hennanu" was the next hit song, which was picturised on Mahalakshmi and Ananth Nag. Remaining songs are average and accepted by the people. CBS - Colombia took audio rights for this movie and the cassette and gramophone record quality was too good. Later, CBS never sold the audio rights to any other company, so till date this movie original audio versions are not available.

Track # Song Performed by

Trivia[edit]

  • Quite unusual for Ananth Nag movies, a steamy song was shot. Khushboo had joked that Ananth Nag was probably the only hero, uncomfortable to shake a leg with a heroine drenched in rain.
  • This movie was shot when Ananth Nag was dejected after a part-time stint with undivided Janata Party (1983–88) and decided to do movies full-time.
