English: Bishnupur Been tradition is one of the ancient traditions, it directly traces its origin to Senia Gharana/Bani. Unfortunately the last known Beenkar of Bishnupur Gharana is Pandit Gokul Nag, father and Guru of legendery Sitar Player Pandit Manilal Nag. His only student apart from his family was Peter Row who passed away recently.
