Elayirampannai is a panchayat town in Virudhunagar district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. The economy of the town is based on manufacturing safety matches, crackers and agriculture.

Elayirampannai (Tamil:ஏழாயிரம்பண்ணை) has a history of more than 350 years. Once it was ruled by Zamindars who were palayakarars before the British rule. [1] Even today the descendants of Jaminthars are living in Elayirampannai. There are many temples in Elayirampannai. Arulmigu Parasakthi Mariamman Kovil is one of them. Its Chithirai festival is a festival of this temple. This is a 12-day function in the Tamil month of Chithirai. People of Elayirampannai living in various places like Coimbatore, Thirupur, Pollachi and Chennai come here to make this festival a grand success. The main business here is Agriculture and Safety Matches. Business people of this village are exporting their quality products abroad. Some other important places of worship are siva sudalaimaadan temple, Irrullappaswamy Kovil, Pathrakaliamman temple, Kasivishwanadhar and vishalatchi ammam temple and Emaraj temple (historical famous), SRI Kamatchi Amman temple, RC Church and CSI church. Ayiappan temple with palaniandavar temple and Mapillai vinayagar temple (old elayirampannai).
